Hedgehog Day in Loddiswell Raises £571

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the Wild About Loddiswell Hedgehog Day on 9th September. One of our volunteers, Liz, helps to run Wild About Loddiswell and invited Judy along to the event where she was on hand to give advice about hedgehogs as well as selling our lovely PIAP merchandise and hedgehog and wildlife themed gifts. WAL were launching their Hedgehog Highway Project – local residents brought in their hedgehog sightings to plot on a village map and were informed how they could take part in the project and were given Hedgehog door template/surrounds, funded by Loddiswell Parish Council. There was a raffle and Guess the Name of the Hedgehog. The event was in collaboration with the Loddiswell monthly Pop-Up Cafe whose volunteers provided the refreshments – the cafe kindly donated their proceeds too. In all, including PIAP sales, they raised the princely sum of £571 for Prickles in a Pickle – a great effort!
